How many massages do you really need?

During the initial 6 weeks following surgery, it is advisable to undergo a Lymphatic massage 2-3 times weekly, particularly when pain and swelling are most intense. It is recommended to space these sessions 48 hours apart to allow fluid drainage between appointments. It is recommended to schedule appointments in advance due to varying availability, aiming for a weekly schedule on M-W-F/T-TH or a similar pattern.

After the first 6 weeks, it is typically possible to reduce the frequency to 1-2 sessions per week and gradually decrease further. Each individual's healing process differs, and recommendations are made on a case-by-case basis. If considering cosmetic surgery, it is essential to budget and plan for these massage sessions.

Lymphatic Massages play a crucial role in managing swelling, pain, enhancing contour, and improving overall aesthetic outcomes. Research indicates that incorporating Lymphatic Massages can accelerate healing by 1/6 compared to not receiving MLD!

At Attentive Therapy, we prioritize the well-being of our clients above all else. We have put together two discounted Lymphatic Massage packages: a 6-package and a 10-package bundle, designed to meet your post-operative needs.
